About Trip:
Ombigaichan, an unclimbed peak on one of the ridges off Ama Dablam. It's a peak well hidden and the approach isn't an easy one, even located just outside the famous Everest Base Camp trekking trail. You get a first good view of this untamed beauty above Ama Dablam base camp, and - awesome. It looks technically terrifying. Unclimbed for experience climbers.
Outline Itinerary
DAY 01 Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel
DAY 02 Drive to Gundu (2,005m) one hour drive from Kathmandu for acclimatization. Accommodation in adventure Camp's luxury tents.
DAY 03 Morning sunrise view of the mountains. During the day you can visit Phulchoki,
the highest point overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at Camp.
day 04 fly to Lukla & trek to Phakding. Overnight at Himalayan Chain Resort (HCR)
day 05 trek to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in lodge
day 06 Trek to Khumjung. Overnight in HCR
day 07 Rest day at khumjung for acclimatization & change of porters & yaks.
day 08 trek to Tengboche Monastery. Overnight in lodge
day 09 trek to Dingboche. Overnight in lodge.
day 10 trek to Lobuche for acclimatization. Overnight at HCR
day 11 trek down to Pheriche & up to Taboche Base Camp
day 12 trek to Khumbu Tse Base Camp
day 13-14 climbing period
day 14 trek back to Tengboche. Overnight in lodge.
day 16 trek back to Khumjung. Overnight at HCR
day 17 trek back to Phakding. overnight at HCR
day 18 trek back to lukla. overnight in lodge
day 19 fly back to Kathmandu. transfer to hotel
day 20 Kathmandu
day 21 departure from Kathmandu.
