About Trip:
Mount Cholatse is a rarely climbed mountain. The normal route starts from Macchermo side, by the Gokyo Lake trail. Several unclimbed and difficult routes start from Chola Lake, easily approached by Pheriche on the normal Everest B.C trail.
Outline Itinerary
DAY 01 Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel
DAY 02 Drive to Gundu (2,005m) one hour drive from Kathmandu for acclimatization. Accommodation in adventure Camp's luxury tents.
DAY 03 Morning sunrise view of the mountains. During the day you can visit Phulchoki,
the highest point overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at Camp.
day 04 fly to Lukla & trek to Phakding. Overnight at Himalayan Chain Resort (HCR)
day 05 trek to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in lodge
day 06 Trek to Khumjung. Overnight in HCR
day 07 Rest day at khumjung for acclimatization & change of porters & yaks.
day 08 trek to Dole, Overnight in lodge.
day 09 trek to Macchermo. Overnight in lodge
day 10 trek to Gokyo Lake. Overnight in lodge
day 11 visit gokyo Ri and trek to Tagnag (4,750m)
day 12 trek to Cholatse base camp
day 13-17 climbing period
day 18 cleaning base camp
day 19 trek back to Dole. Overnight in lodge.
day 20 Trek back to Khumjung. Overnight at HCR
day 21 Trek back to Phakding. Overnight at HCR
day 22 trek back to Lukla. Overnight in lodge.
day 23 fly back to Kathmandu. transfer to hotel
day 24 Kathmandu
day 25 Departure from Kathmandu.
