About Trip:
Kangchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world. It is an enormous mountain mass, and many satellite peaks rise from its narrow icy ridges. It is located on the border of nepal and sikkim, just 46miles northwest of Darjeeling. It is the most easterly of the great 8,000 meter ,peaks of the Himalaya.
It's massif is complex and culminates in three summits above 8,000m. Yalung Khang 8,505m and main summit 8,586m. Middle summit 8,482m and southern summit 8,473m.
Outline Itinerary
DAY 01 Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.
DAY 02 Drive to Gundu (2,005m). One hour drive from Kathmandu. for acclimatization. accommodation is Adventure Camp's luxury tents.
DAY 03 Morning sunrise view of the mountains. During the day you can visit Phulchoki, the highest point overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at Adventure Camp.
DAY 04-05 Drive to Medibung & arrange porters.
DAY 06 Trek to Dandagaon. Overnight in local house.
DAY 07 Trek to khewang. Overnight in local house.
DAY 08 Trek to Yanphudin. Overnight in local house.
DAY 09 Trek to Omje Khola. Overnight in camp
DAY 10 Trek to Torontan. Overnight in local House.
DAY 11 Trek to Tseram. Overnight in local house.
DAY 12 Trek to Oktang. Overnight camp.
DAY 13 Trek to Glacier Camp.
DAY 14-15 Glacier Camp.
DAY 16 Trek to Base Camp (South)
DAY 17-51 CLIMBING PERIOD.
DAY 52 Cleaning up Base Camp.
DAY 53-61 Trek back to Medibung.
DAY 62-63 Drive back to Kathmandu. Transfer to garden home.
DAY 64 Kathmandu
DAY 65 Departure from Kathmandu.
